Pirate Printmaking

Saturday, Jun. 16, 2018    2–5pm

Inspired by the Berlin-based artist collective Raubdruckerin, traverse the East Lansing community in search of urban patterns and typographic forms. Sourced directly from the streets, explore pirate printmaking techniques in this hands-on printmaking workshop. Participants will take away a shirt (and more) imprinted from manhole covers, vents, and utility grates. Cost of registration ($40) covers instruction, printing materials, t-shirts, and other surfaces. This workshop is led by painter, printmaker, and teaching artist Britta Urness.

This event will meet at the Art Lab, located directly across the street from the museum at 565 E Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823.
