MSU BROAD

MSU Broad Summer Art Camp: Kid Studio

This is not your average art camp!

Your creative camper will spend their week in our one-of-a-kind building working alongside other creative kids to experiment, wonder, imagine, and create. They’ll make and see art all around the museum as they explore the endless possibilities of art.

MSU Broad Summer Art Camps run for one week with your choice of a morning session (9am–12pm) or an afternoon session (1–4pm). Want a longer day and more art? We’ve got you covered! Enroll in both sessions (9am–4pm). The 2022 enrollment fee is $150 for one session or $300 for the full day.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long is MSU Broad Summer Art Camp?
Enroll your camper in our morning session (9am–12pm) or afternoon session (1–4pm). Or if you want a longer day, go for both! Each session is 3 hours of creative fun where we will learn about artists and make lots of art together. For campers who decide that a full day is ideal, we will enjoy an hour outside for lunch (brought from home) and supervised play.

If we enroll in a full day, will the am and pm experience be different?
While the guiding theme is the same, your camper will have a different experience from morning to afternoon! This summer, campers will explore and test ALL the possibilities for selected art materials. Each day campers will also visit our galleries to hang out with art, looking at different artworks throughout the day. Our resulting conversations and explorations with art materials will present limitless possibilities for your young artist to be creative in new and unique ways!

What about COVID-19 safety?
Keeping your family safe is important to us and our camp will follow all University guidelines for COVID-19 safety during the run of camp. Currently, face coverings are optional for participants of MSU Youth Programs.
