Haiti Bride (2014) by Trinidadian filmmaker Yao Ramesar tells the story of Marie Thérèse, a Haitian-born woman who returns to her homeland to meet her husband Paul, who lost his memory after the 2010 Haiti earthquake. Broad Underground is an ongoing collaboration between the MSU Broad, Film Studies program, and Department of English at MSU. This year’s partnering venue is The Robin Theatre in REO Town, Lansing.
