Studio (in)Process (Sponsored by Open Call)

Thursday, Jul. 25, 2019    6–9pm

The studio is (in)Process! Drop in on Thursday evenings to experiment with different art materials and processes in this hands-on art-making experience. This is a special free edition of our weekly Studio (in)Process, sponsored by the Community Open Call with guest artist Zahrah Resh, in partnership with AgeAlive!

This week's activity: Create a Butterfly Garden!

Paint, write messages on, and fold butterflies that will become part of a unique exhibit; a tranquil community butterfly “garden” in which to gather and reflect on life and healing. Feel free to take your butterflies home or leave them to be added to the community healing garden. Open to all generations, ages, and abilities.

Registration is required. Click here to register for this free event.

Create a Butterfly Garden with AgeAlive is part of the Community Open Call, an experimental platform that invites the community to become a central figure in the planning process for the arts and cultural programming offered at the MSU Broad Art Lab. This initiative is supported by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs. Apply for the Community Open Call here.

Held at the Art Lab, located directly across the street from the museum at 565 E Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823.
