Youth, System Involvement, and Trauma: Panel Discussion

Friday, Oct. 29, 2021    1–3pm

In the course of their development, children and adolescents might become involved with either the juvenile justice or child welfare system—it is important to understand pathways to help them successfully transition from these systems. In doing so, attention should be given to trauma-informed practices with youth, and their families that help to foster positive development with voices from researchers and practitioners who serve them. This panel discussion is presented in partnership with MSU Youth Equity Project, Human Development and Family Studies, School of Social Work, and School of Criminal Justice with guests Professor Kune Park, Lekie Dwanynen, Professor Cheryl Williams Hecksel, and Heather Martin. Registration for this free event is required. Register here.
