(SOLD OUT) Textile Workshop: Foundations for Playful Weaving

Saturday, Jun. 26, 2021    1–3pm

This event is sold out.

Build a field of expressive colors, textures, and shapes in our June weaving workshop!

Led by Ann Arbor artist Avery Williamson, this hands-on experience will offer makers a foundation for weaving on a simple frame loom. Learn how to include unconventional materials and take a playful, experimental approach to weaving. This introductory workshop is perfect for makers who are early in their weaving journey.

Registration for this event is required. Cost of registration ($70) will include instruction and all materials, including a 10” frame loom that participants will keep to continue their weaving at home and hatch future projects. The registration deadline is June 21, 2021. This workshop will take place outdoors in the MSU Broad sculpture garden. In case of inclement weather, this event will be held in the MSU Broad Art Lab. Participants are required to maintain 6 feet of distance between others. Register here.
