Canceled: Museum as Muse: Introduction to Printmaking

Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022    1–3pm

This event has been canceled. Please visit our calendar for more.

Take inspiration from the MSU Broad Art Museum and the collections within during this 6-week class for adult creatives. Participants will take a journey through two printmaking techniques using the MSU Broad Art Lab press—collagraph (textured) printing and unique, stencil-based monotypes. These projects are suitable for artists new to printmaking, but adaptable to those with more experience as well. While learning new hands-on skills, we'll take an in-depth look at a diverse selection of prints within the MSU Broad collection for added inspiration.

This class is led by Art Lab Educator Britta Urness. Cost of registration ($90) covers instruction and all materials.

Held at the Art Lab, located directly across the street from the museum at 565 E Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823. This class will meet Sundays: 1/16, 1/23, 1/30, 2/6, 2/20, and 2/27.
