CANCELED: Museum as Muse: Mixed Media Class

Take inspiration from the soaring angles of the Zaha Hadid designed MSU Broad Art Museum and the collections within during this 6-week mixed media class for adult creatives. By melding drawing, painting, collage, and image transfer techniques, participants will learn to combine a vast array of art materials while investigating the structure of the MSU Broad and receiving an in-depth look at a diverse selection of artworks within the collection. Highlighted artists include: Tyree Guyton, Julie Mehretu, Bruce Thayer, Miriam Schapiro, and Neal Ambrose-Smith, among many others.

Cost of registration ($120) covers instruction and most materials. A suggested supply list for additional materials will be provided to all registrants prior to the beginning of class. The registration deadline is Oct. 4, 2021.

Held at the Art Lab, located directly across the street from the museum at 565 E Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823. This class will meet Wednesdays: 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, and 11/10.
