In the Field with Scott Hocking

Tuesday, Sep. 18, 2018    7pm

Artist Scott Hocking will discuss his work The Sleeper (Cowcatcher), a site-specific installation comprised of old railroad ties and other artifacts that draws upon the natural and industrial histories of Michigan, from forests and lumber to ancient trails. Scott Hocking is a Detroit-based artist whose sculptures and site-specific installations address the constantly changing landscape of a city through its detritus.

Field Station: Scott Hocking is curated by Carla Acevedo-Yates, Associate Curator, and is on view through Sept. 30.
