Curatorial Practices Exhibition Reception

Friday, Apr. 19, 2019    5-7pm

Celebrate the curatorial work of seventeen MSU Museum Studies students at the opening of Home?, which addresses dichotomies such as home/homelessness; temporary/permanent; place/country; reality/memory; animals/humans. Using the skills they learned, the exhibition explores the varied ways that we define “home.” Objects from the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, the MSU Museum, and MSU Special Collections are juxtaposed in new ways to encourage viewers to broaden the idea and definition of the word “home.”

Special thanks to student curators, and MSU Department of Art, Art History, and Design faculty advisors Susan Bandes and Jon Frey.

Held at the Art Lab, located directly across the street from the museum at 565 E Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823.
