Ceramic Plate Workshop
Saturday, Mar. 07, 2020 1–4pm
Take scratch art to the next level and explore the grown up version—sgraffito! Before the scratching begins, you’ll hand-build a clay plate and apply layers of contrasting underglazes. Drawing on the surface will reveal the underlying soft clay, leaving behind a richly textured and adorned surface. Plates will be fired and returned with a food-safe clear glaze. This workshop is led by artist and teacher Brooke Peiffer.
Registration for this event is required. Cost of registration ($50) covers instruction and materials. The registration deadline is March 2, 2020. Click here to register.
Held at the Art Lab, located directly across the street from the museum at 565 E Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823.
