Create a Butterfly Garden with AgeAlive

Saturday, Jul. 27, 2019    12–4pm

Have you ever used art for transformative healing? Drop into the Studio to paint, write messages on, and fold butterflies that can become part of a unique exhibit; a butterfly “garden”. Feel free to take your butterflies home or add them to the community healing garden, inspired by local Artist Zahrah Resh, in partnership with AgeAlive, a campus program committed to a holistic view of health, wellbeing, and quality of life throughout life. Come inside the Art Lab during open hours (Tuesday–Sunday, 12–4pm) for materials to get started.

Create a Butterfly Garden with AgeAlive is part of the Community Open Call, an experimental platform that invites the community to become a central figure in the planning process for the arts and cultural programming offered at the MSU Broad Art Lab. This initiative is supported by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs. Apply for the Community Open Call here.

Held at the Art Lab, located directly across the street from the museum at 565 E Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI 48823.
