FOCUS TOUR: Soil Health

One artwork. One guest. One theme. In January, we’ll look at the artwork soil-erg by Claire Pentecost featured in the exhibition Seeds of Resistance. Soil expert Dr. Sieglinde Snapp from the Department of Plant, Soil, and Microbial Sciences will join us for this unconventional tour to foreground the essential role of the active world lurking just below the surface.
This monthly tour series offers a close look at one work of art on view at the MSU Broad. Join our Director of Education Michelle Word as she talks with an invited expert who will bring their unique perspectives and knowledge to the conversation, sharing relevant cultural, scientific, and historical context that brings into focus the artwork’s timely themes.
