Listen/Hear: Broad Underground Film Series
Take a moment to step back, take a breath, and listen. Listen/Hear is programmed in dialogue with the work of Lawrence Abu Hamdan, whose work engages with the act of hearing and listening. Starting with the act of biologic hearing to the extensions of listening in recent times, we will consider the implications of listening and hearing. In this screening we ask, how do listening and hearing impact our lives? How do we, in fact, listen, and how do we hear? Programmed by Lyn Goeringer and Mihaela Mihailova.
Broad Underground is an ongoing collaboration between the MSU Broad, Film Studies program, and Department of English at MSU. This year’s partnering venue is The Robin Theatre. Special thanks to the Lansing Public Media Center for their continued support.
