Pinhole Camera Workshop

Tuesday, Sep. 24, 2019    6–9pm

Picture an ordinary can, a shoe box, or a box of matches—did you know those household items could be made into cameras? Photographers, makers, art enthusiasts, and community members are invited to come together for a two part workshop in collaboration with Community Darkroom 517, located on the campus of East Lansing High School, to learn the history of pinhole cameras, construct their own to take home, and get hands-on darkroom experience!

Online registration for this workshop series is now closed.

All photos will be displayed in a Pop-Up show at the MSU Broad Art Lab on September 26.

Pinhole Camera Workshop is part of the Community Open Call, an experimental platform that invites the community to become a central figure in the planning process for the arts and cultural programming offered at the MSU Broad Art Lab. This initiative is supported by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs. Apply for the Community Open Call here.

Held at Community Darkroom 517, located on the campus of East Lansing High School.
